Playmates Montessori School offers nurturing educational experiences for children in Drogheda. We are a Sessional service in accordance with the Child Care (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016.

Our experienced educators provide personalized attention to foster each child's unique learning journey.

At Playmates Montessori School we achieve care and inclusion by continually reviewing and anti-bias approach that is implemented by our service and by working in partnership with families, children and staff both individually through reflective practice and in consultation with the children and their families, so as to ensure that the education and care we provide is fully inclusive of all children, families and agencies that attend and use our service.

AIM: Access and inclusion for all children.
We at Playmates Montessori School pride ourselves in providing a programme, curriculum and education environment where each child is welcomed and included on equal terms, can feel they belong, and can progress to his/her full potential in all areas of development. (National Childcare Strategy 2006-2010). We have engaged with AIM – The Access and Inclusion Model (AIM) is a programme of supports designed to ensure that children with disabilities can access the Early Childhood Care and Education Programme in mainstream pre-school settings and can participate fully in the pre-school curriculum alongside their peers. NCS
This started in October 2019 and entitles every parent to a discount towards childcare. You can calculate what you will be entitled to using the yellow table below. More information available at: https://ncs.gov.ie/parent-faqs
Additional Half Hour
ECCE pupils can avail of our service until 12.30pm. The NCS which started in October 2019 entitles all parents to a reduction in their fees.
About Louth County Childcare Committee
Louth County Childcare Committee (LCCC) was initiated in 2001, after an intensive development period the Committee became incorporated in 2002. 33 County and City Committees were established nationally by the Department of Justice Equality and Law Reform under the Equal Opportunities Childcare Programme (EOCP) as part of the National Development Plan.
